Bio: Our cool maritime climate is helping us make wines with authentic and complex tastes and aromas, and without the taste of oak. The wines are easy to enjoy and once opened Cortém bottles tend to empty quickly!!

Vinhos Cortém Is a small (4.8 hectares) organic winery set in the hills and valleys a few kilometers east of Caldas da Rainha and was founded in 2004 by Christopher Price and his wife Helga Wagner.
The idea to make wine started as a small personal project with one field, and currently is has grown to a full time job now with good and sometimes excellent organic wines which have won medals at the Mundus Vini and IWC challenges. We currently have 7 different red wines and one dessert white wine. We make small lots of about 2000 bottles and each wine has a different flavour depending on the grape varieties used. Although we have only about 5 hectares of vines we have 14 different grape varieties planted.
